SEASTAR CCX205 BRP 479 XTREME CONTROL CABLE POST 79 16FT

The SeaStar CCX205 BRP 479 XTREME Control Cable Post 79 16FT is engineered to provide smooth, responsive throttle and shift control for BRP, Evinrude and Johnson outboards and inboards manufactured from 1979 onwards. Designed as a direct replacement for 479-style control cables, it delivers dependable performance while making installation simple. Whether you’re replacing an ageing cable or upgrading your steering and control system, this 16-foot cable ensures reliable operation every time you head out on the water.

Smooth, Low-Friction Operation

The XTREME cable design significantly reduces friction compared to conventional control cables. As a result, throttle and gear changes remain smooth and precise, even when the cable is routed through long or tight bends. This improved flexibility helps minimise control effort while delivering consistent engine response in a wide range of boating conditions.

Built to Handle Marine Conditions

SeaStar manufactures this control cable using premium marine-grade materials for outstanding durability. Stainless steel, brass and moulded plastic fittings resist corrosion, while the heavy-duty 8.6mm outer casing protects the cable from wear. Additionally, the black UV-resistant polyethylene jacket helps defend against prolonged sun exposure and harsh marine environments, ensuring dependable long-term performance.
