The SEASTAR CC179 MERCURY/MARINER 600A CONTROL CABLE 9FT features XTREME™ technology with a low-friction splined core. This design reduces cable resistance and minimises lost motion. As a result, throttle and shift movements feel smoother and more precise.

In addition, the heavy-duty 8.6mm outer casing is protected by a UV-resistant polyethylene jacket. It resists abrasion, saltwater, fuel, oil, and harsh marine conditions. The stainless steel Lubri-Core™ wire increases durability, while corrosion-resistant stainless steel, brass, and moulded plastic fittings provide long-lasting, dependable performance.

Direct Replacement for Mercury 600A Systems

This 9-foot control cable fits Mercury®, MerCruiser® engines manufactured from 1965 onwards using Generation I (600A) controls. It also suits compatible Force® engines from 1993 onwards and Mariner® engines fitted with Mercury controls, excluding pre-1993 40HP and below models.

Furthermore, the cable installs using the existing connection components. No modifications are required. It meets or exceeds OEM performance standards, making it an ideal replacement for routine servicing or worn control cables.
