The SEASTAR CC179 MERCURY/MARINER 600A CONTROL CABLE 13FT features XTREME™ technology with a low-friction splined core. This advanced design reduces cable resistance and minimises lost motion. As a result, shifting feels smoother and throttle control becomes more precise.

In addition, the heavy-duty 8.6mm outer casing is protected by a UV-resistant polyethylene jacket. It withstands abrasion, saltwater, fuel, oil, and harsh weather conditions. The stainless steel Lubri-Core™ wire increases durability, while corrosion-resistant stainless steel, brass, and moulded plastic fittings provide reliable long-term performance.

Direct Replacement for Mercury 600A Systems

This 13-foot control cable fits Mercury® and MerCruiser® engines manufactured from 1965 onwards using Generation I (600A) controls. It also suits compatible Force® engines from 1993 onwards and Mariner® engines fitted with Mercury controls, excluding pre-1993 40HP and below models.

Furthermore, the cable installs using the existing connection components. No modifications are required. It meets or exceeds OEM performance standards, making it an excellent choice for routine maintenance or replacing ageing control cables.
