When worn by the captain, the 1STM WEARABLE RED functions as a virtual kill switch. If the captain goes overboard or becomes separated from the vessel, the engine will automatically shut off, allowing for a rapid and safe recovery. The wearable connects wirelessly to the 1stMate hub, using Bluetooth technology to provide a seamless safety link.

For passengers, it pairs with the system to provide overboard alerts through the 1stMate mobile app. The app tracks all connected wearables, identifying who is onboard and alerting the captain if someone falls overboard—offering an added layer of protection for families, children, or crew.
