Repower Booking Terms and Conditions - Brisbane Marine

Repower Booking Terms and Conditions

Scope of Work:

  • The customer agrees to engage Brisbane Marine for the repowering of their boat with a Mercury outboard motor, as outlined in the agreed-upon quotation or estimate.

Ownership of Engines:

  • All Mercury outboard motors supplied by Brisbane Marine will remain the property of Brisbane Marine until the full payment for the outboard is received.

Payment Terms:

  • Unless otherwise agreed, you agree to pay us in full for all services rendered and/or products supplied before removing your vessel and/or the products from our premises. We accept cash, direct bank transfers and credit cards. Any direct bank transfer must clear before the engine is released/the vessel is collected. To avoid payments being missed, Brisbane Marine strongly encourages you to email us a copy of any direct bank transfer receipts and/or remittances. Any payments made by credit card will incur a surcharge of 1.5%.

Performance and Scope:

  • You authorise Brisbane Marine to do every act, matter and thing that we consider desirable or necessary for us to provide you with the products and/or services in the job card in respect of your vessel, including (but not limited to) entering the vessel and water testing your vessel (including towing your vessel to a public boat ramp outside of the premises).
  • Brisbane Marine agrees to supply the products and perform the services as described in the job card. The scope and terms of the job card (including pricing) may change as a result of updated instructions from you.
  • If you require Brisbane Marine to carry out additional work more than the standard fitment services, you must notify us in advance. Brisbane Marine will not amend a job card after the vessel has arrived. If you require Brisbane Marine to carry out additional work and you have not notified us before dropping off the vessel, Brisbane Marine may refuse to carry out the additional work until a later date.
  • Brisbane Marine retains the discretion to refuse to fit any parts or products sourced and supplied by you (‘customer supplied goods’). If Brisbane Marine agrees to fit customer supplied goods, you must supply us with a list of all the part details in advance so that the work can be appropriately quoted.
  • You understand that we will not allow work to be carried out on any vessel whilst on our premises by you or any other outside contractor not directly engaged by us without our prior written consent.

Warranty and Guarantees:

Mercury outboard motors come with their manufacturer’s warranty. Brisbane Marine will provide details of the warranty and guarantees applicable. Any warranty claims should be addressed directly with Steve Ingliss, our Service Manager.

Liability:

Brisbane Marine will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of the Mercury outboard motors or the repower service unless directly caused by negligence on the part of Brisbane Marine.

Boat Storage on Premises:

  • You understand that your vessel will be stored outside and agree that it is your responsibility to ensure that the bungs have been removed from your vessel. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your vessel is stored with the transom lower than the nose to encourage water drainage. However, we will not be held liable for any loss or damage to your vessel that may occur as a result of water damage.
  • Storage is at the owner’s risk.
  • If you do not collect the vessel within fourteen (14) days of Brisbane Marine providing notice to you that your boat is ready for collection, a storage fee of $X per day may apply.

Condition of Boat:

Boats must be clean/tidy and safe to work in. Any boat that is deemed by Brisbane Marine as unclean/untidy, will be cleaned by Brisbane Marine at an additional cost of $300 prior to completing any further work.

Problems or Concerns:

  • If you have a problem with a vessel after we have carried out any work, you must report the problem to us as soon as possible. We will conduct a full inspection of the vessel and provide you with our advice and opinion on the problem and the repairs required as well as an estimate of the cost. If the problem is a result of faulty workmanship that requires us to carry out rectification work on the vessel, we will arrange a convenient time for the repair work to be carried out at no cost to you. Conversely, if the repairs required have no bearing to work completed by us, you will be responsible for the cost of any necessary repairs, if we are instructed by you to complete them. If the problem is one that is covered under a manufacturer’s warranty, the correct warranty claims process must be followed.
