The SeaStar CCX205 BRP 479 XTREME Control Cable Post 79 15FT is designed to deliver smooth, accurate throttle and shift control for BRP, Evinrude and Johnson outboards and inboards manufactured from 1979 onwards. As a direct replacement for 479-style control cables, it provides reliable performance while making installation quick and straightforward. Whether you’re replacing a worn cable or upgrading your boat’s control system, this 15-foot cable offers dependable operation and lasting durability. It is engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications for a precise fit and consistent performance.

Smooth and Responsive Control

The XTREME cable features an advanced low-friction design that delivers smoother throttle and gear changes than conventional control cables. As a result, engine response remains precise, even when the cable follows long or complex routing paths. This improved flexibility reduces control effort while providing a more responsive feel at the helm.

Additionally, the cable’s patented splined core minimises lost motion, helping maintain accurate throttle and shift inputs throughout every trip.

Built for Harsh Marine Environments

SeaStar manufactures this control cable using premium marine-grade materials for exceptional durability. Stainless steel, brass and moulded plastic fittings resist corrosion, while the heavy-duty 8.6mm outer casing protects against everyday wear. Furthermore, the black UV-resistant polyethylene jacket withstands prolonged sun exposure, saltwater and harsh marine conditions for dependable long-term performance.
