In addition, the heavy-duty HDPE outer jacket resists abrasion, UV exposure, saltwater, fuel, oil, and chemicals. Stainless steel terminals and brass fittings provide excellent corrosion resistance, while the permanently lubricated HDPE liner delivers maintenance-free performance. The SEASTAR CC179 MERCURY/MARINER 600A CONTROL CABLE 16FT fits Mercury® and MerCruiser® engines manufactured from 1965 onwards using Generation I (600A) controls. It also suits Mariner® engines fitted with Mercury controls (excluding pre-1993 40HP and below models) and compatible Force® engines from 1993 onwards.
